The El Pescador is a handcrafted wooden speargun built by Nate Wells of Wells Spearguns in Oceanside, California. It’s made locally in Nate’s workshop with a focus on traditional lines, solid performance and beautiful finishes — a workhorse speargun that also looks the part.
By default the El Pescador is built from hand-selected mahogany, chosen for its strength, stability and classic look; buyers can upgrade to Burmese teak for extra durability, water-resistance and a richer grain. Each stock is hand-shaped, sanded and finished with marine-grade coatings to protect the wood while showing off the timber.
The gun is offered in a range of lengths and tailored configurations, and is hand-ballasted and fitted with quality hardware so the wooden hull stays balanced in the water. In short: El Pescador blends old-school wooden craftsmanship with practical spearfishing function — a beautiful, customizable daily driver for reef and inshore hunting.
